Honda Generators
Shop Honda's premium portable inverter generators for RV travel, camping, home backup, outdoor events and portable work power. We currently offer two Honda models, the portable Honda EU3200i and the high-output Honda EU7000iS, so you can compare them side by side and choose the right fit for the loads you need to run.
Honda inverter technology produces stable, high-quality power suited to laptops, phones, TVs and other sensitive electronics, not just lights and tools.
Both models use electronic fuel injection, which eliminates the manual choke and helps provide easy, consistent starting.
Honda's CO-MINDER system monitors carbon monoxide around the generator and automatically shuts the engine down if levels become elevated. Always run a generator outdoors, away from windows, doors and vents.
Honda's Eco Throttle system matches engine speed to the load, helping reduce fuel use and noise compared with running at full speed all the time.
Both generators use Honda inverter technology, but they serve different power needs. The EU3200i emphasizes portability for RV and recreational use, while the EU7000iS provides substantially more output for larger loads and backup-power applications.

Maximum output is available for short periods; rated output is what the generator supplies continuously. Confirm the exact model and configuration on each product page before ordering.
The right generator depends on what you need to run, where you'll use it and how you plan to move it. Use these guidelines as a starting point, then confirm against the wattage of your own equipment.
The EU3200i delivers meaningful power in a compact package that's practical to load, carry and travel with.
The EU7000iS provides substantially more output and both 120V and 240V power, for buyers willing to trade size and weight for capacity.
Every appliance and tool has a running wattage, and many motor-driven items, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, pumps and compressors, need a higher starting (surge) wattage for a moment when they switch on. Add up the running watts of everything you'll use at the same time, allow for the largest starting load, and choose a generator whose rated output covers the total.
Neither generator should be expected to run an entire home unless your actual loads fall within its output. Any connection to household wiring should go through a properly installed transfer switch or interlock.
Select a model for full specifications, current pricing and availability.
A few practical questions narrow the choice quickly. Work through them before you buy so the generator you choose matches the way you'll actually use it.
Write down the appliances, tools and devices you expect to run at the same time, not everything you own. For an RV, that usually means the air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave and converter. For backup power, focus on essentials such as refrigeration, lighting, a furnace blower, a well pump or a sump pump.
Running watts are what a device draws continuously. Motor-driven equipment needs extra starting (surge) watts for a moment when it switches on. Total your running watts, add the largest starting requirement, and compare the result to the generator's rated output, not its maximum. Each item's data plate or owner's manual lists its actual figures.
The EU3200i supplies 120V power. The EU7000iS supplies both 120V and 240V, which matters for some well pumps, larger equipment and many home backup setups that use a transfer switch.
The EU3200i is built to be portable. The EU7000iS is a much larger, heavier machine that's better suited to staying in one place or being rolled into position. Think about where the generator will live and how you'll load it.
Both generators are offered in 49-state and 50-state versions. California buyers should choose the 50-state models, the EU3200IAC and the EU7000ISNAC, and confirm the model code on the listing before ordering.
Run any generator outdoors only, well away from windows, doors and vents. Never connect a generator directly to household wiring; use a transfer switch or interlock installed by a licensed electrician.
Honda offers California-compliant versions of both generators featured here. When you're comparing Honda generators for sale in California, the model code tells you which version you're getting.
Honda EU3200i: the EU3200IAC is the 50-state version, which Honda identifies as California compliant. The EU3200IAN is the 49-state version.
Honda EU7000iS: the EU7000ISNAC is the 50-state version, which Honda identifies as California compliant. The EU7000ISNAN is the 49-state version.
In April 2025, Honda announced that these California versions meet CARB Tier 4 requirements and are available for sale in California. Before you order, check that the model code on the product listing is the version you need. As a California dealership based in Poway, we're glad to help you confirm it.
Power RV essentials and keep batteries charged at campsites without hookups. Your air conditioner's starting and running wattage is usually the deciding load.
Typical fit EU3200i for moderate loads; EU7000iS for larger RVs and heavier combined loads
Quiet inverter power for lights, fans, small cooking appliances and charging phones, cameras and other electronics, without hauling a large machine to camp.
Typical fit EU3200i
Keep selected essentials running during an outage, from refrigeration and lighting to communications, depending on your total load. Connect to home wiring only through a transfer switch or interlock.
Typical fit EU7000iS for larger backup loads; EU3200i for smaller essentials
Run sound systems, lighting, displays and food-service equipment at tailgates, markets and gatherings. Inverter power is well suited to audio gear and electronics.
Typical fit EU3200i for lighter setups; EU7000iS for larger loads
Run power tools and equipment where there's no outlet nearby. Check the starting wattage of motor-driven tools such as saws and compressors.
Typical fit EU7000iS for higher-demand tools; EU3200i for lighter work

Both are Honda inverter generators with electronic fuel injection, but they're built for different jobs. The EU3200i is the portable option: 2,600 watts rated (3,200 watts maximum) with 120V output, well suited to RV travel, camping and smaller backup loads. The EU7000iS is a much larger machine: 5,500 watts rated (7,000 watts maximum) with 120/240V output and electric start, for larger RVs, home backup and heavier loads.
It depends on your RV's electrical needs. The EU3200i is a practical choice for travelers who value portability and need power for RV essentials. If you need to run a larger air conditioner alongside other high-draw appliances, the EU7000iS offers substantially more capacity. Check your air conditioner's starting and running watts, and your RV's power requirements, before you decide.
For most home backup plans, the EU7000iS is the better fit because of its higher output and 120/240V capability. The EU3200i can handle smaller essentials. Neither will necessarily run an entire home, so add up the running and starting watts of what you need during an outage, and have a licensed electrician install a transfer switch or interlock for any connection to your home's wiring.
Yes. Both use Honda inverter technology, which produces stable, high-quality power, and both use Honda's Eco Throttle system to match engine speed to the load.
Yes. Both the EU3200i and EU7000iS use electronic fuel injection, which eliminates the manual choke and helps provide easy, consistent starting.
Honda inverter generators are designed to produce stable power suitable for computers, phones, TVs and other sensitive electronics. As with any generator, stay within the rated output and follow the equipment manufacturer's guidance for anything critical.
Choose the 50-state versions that Honda identifies as California compliant: the EU3200IAC and the EU7000ISNAC. The 49-state versions, EU3200IAN and EU7000ISNAN, are not the California models. Check the model code on the product listing before you order.
List everything you want to run at the same time, add up the running watts, then add the largest starting (surge) wattage among those items. Compare that total to the generator's rated output, not its maximum, and leave some headroom. Your equipment's data plate or owner's manual lists its actual wattage.
