The Alpinestars AMT-8 Stretch Drystar XF Pants are built for Adventure riders who want a flexible, long-range touring pant that can adapt to changing conditions. Designed with an ACTIVE fit, pre-curved legs, and ergonomic knees, they’re shaped for mobility in the riding position while supporting airflow where it counts.
For variable weather, the included Drystar XF stretch liner is designed to be worn under the pants as a windproof layer or over the pants as a waterproof layer. Impact protection is addressed with built-in Nucleon Plasma Pro Level 2 armor at both the hips and knees, and the garment is certified to CE – Category II EN17092-3: 2020 standard – AA Class.
Construction
The included Drystar XF stretch liner is designed to work in two configurations depending on the forecast. Worn underneath, it functions as a windproof layer. Worn over the pants, it’s intended to provide waterproof protection. This over-or-under versatility helps the pants stay usable across changing temperatures and weather during adventure touring.
Comfort
For impact coverage, the AMT-8 Pants include Category II EN 1621-1:2012 Level 2 Nucleon Plasma Pro armor at the knees and hips. This integrated setup supports adventure riding needs without requiring separate protectors for these key zones, while keeping the fit focused on mobility for long days in the saddle.
Ventilation
Long, zippered thigh vents are positioned to increase cooling airflow when opened. Alpinestars describes these ports as acting like scoops that capture air from the incoming airstream, helping direct airflow through the pants.
