The Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro Back Protector Insert is a full-length, insert-style back protector built for Adventure and Street riders who want slim, flexible coverage inside compatible Alpinestars gear. It’s designed to sit in a jacket’s back protector pocket while keeping bulk down and comfort up.
Built with a hybrid of Nucleon Cell and Nucleon Flex structures, it’s shaped to balance flexibility with energy absorption from the center outward. A soft-touch 3D mesh liner on the body side is intended to enhance airflow and comfort, and the protector is certified to EN 1621-2:2014 Level 2 (T+ & T-).
This back protector insert is certified to Back Protector: EN 1621-2:2014 Level 2 (T+ & T-). It is also described as rigorously tested and certified to T+ & T for proven performance in extreme temperatures, helping support consistent performance in hot and cold conditions.
A high performance polymeric material Cell structure combined with Nucleon Flex construction is used to keep the protector flexible while saving weight. The design transitions from the center toward the outer areas, aiming to balance energy absorption with freedom of movement during Street and Adventure riding.
A soft, comfortable 3D mesh on the body side is designed to improve breathability and rider comfort. The insert is developed in three waist-to-shoulder dimensions to cover different body sizes, supporting a slim fit when positioned inside an Alpinestars jacket’s back protector pocket.
