The ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR Stella Tech-Air® 3 System is a light, autonomous airbag system built for riders who want a wearable protection solution that can be used across everyday street riding. It’s designed to be worn over or under a motorcycle jacket, making it a practical choice for touring, commuting, and light off-road adventure use.
Using A.I. Technology and the Tech-Air® 5 Street crash detection algorithm, the system monitors riding conditions with 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers, including 1 triaxial accelerometer, and 3 gyroscopes, including 1 triaxial gyroscope) to determine when to deploy. An LED display on the front chest shows operational status, and the display includes a haptic alert that vibrates to confirm the system is armed and to warn when the battery is running low.
For added convenience, Bluetooth connectivity pairs with the Tech-Air® App so you can check operational and battery status and view a detailed map of your ride via MyRide. When the system detects the start of a crash, it activates the protective airbag in milliseconds; once inflated, it provides full upper body protection by covering the full chest and full back, with an integrated back protector pocket that can house additional passive back protection.
