The ALPINESTARS TECH-AIR Tech-Air® 3 v2 Canvas Vest is a packable, fully autonomous active airbag system designed to operate without any external connections or sensors on the motorcycle. Built into a wearable canvas vest, it combines everyday usability with integrated Tech-Air® technology for riding.
Tech-Air® 3 v2 incorporates six integrated sensors (three accelerometers, including one triaxial accelerometer, and three gyroscopes, including one triaxial gyroscope) for crash monitoring across a variety of dynamic riding situations, even when stopped. The system activates automatically via the magnetic zip closure and uses a discretely hidden but easily visible LED display on the front chest (with reflective inner backing) to indicate operational status, plus a haptic alert that vibrates to confirm the system is armed and alerts when the battery is running low.
Off the bike, the packable design makes it easy to store in a backpack, saddle bag, top case, or pannier. The stretch nylon canvas outer chassis with a ribbed bomber collar and elasticated side panels is designed for comfort and expansion volume, and the vest adds practical storage with multiple pockets and a waist loop for attaching gloves or other items.
