The Alpinestars AST v2 Air Jacket is a street motorcycle riding jacket built for warm-weather sport riding with a lightweight feel and strong, continuous airflow. A mesh-heavy layout across the torso and arms is paired with 600 denier poly-fabric in key areas to add structure and durability where it counts.
For protection, it includes removable Alpinestars Nucleon Flex shoulder and elbow protectors, plus GP Lite shoulder reinforcements. It’s also Tech-Air® 5 ready, using strategically placed stretch zones to support an anatomical, on-bike fit and accommodate airbag expansion when paired with the Tech-Air® 5 Airbag System (sold separately).
Construction
Designed around extensive mesh panels on the front, back, and arms, the AST v2 Air Jacket focuses on keeping air moving through the jacket during warm rides. A 600 denier poly-fabric construction reinforces the build to add stability and long-wearing performance in high-use areas while maintaining a lightweight overall feel.
Comfort
The jacket comes equipped with lightweight, removable Alpinestars Nucleon Flex protectors in the shoulders and elbows, supported by GP Lite shoulder reinforcements. The garment is Fully CE-certified riding garment to CE — Category II prEN17092 standards — A class, and the shoulder and elbow protectors are CE level I EN1621-2012.
Fitment
Pre-curved sleeves help keep the AST v2 Air Jacket comfortable in a riding position, while volume adjustment at the sleeves and a hook and loop D-ring waist adjustment let the fit be dialed in. Comfort-focused touches include a textile comfort edge on the collar and cuffs, plus durable auto locking zippers.
