The Leatt Body Protector 6.5 is a two-piece upper-body protection system designed for Moto, ADV, and MTB riding. It combines a zip-up compression suit with built-in shoulder and elbow protection, plus an over-the-top hard-shell chest, back, and side impact protector for broad coverage.
Built with a mix of hard shell and 3DF AirFit soft impact foam, the protector uses a multi-plate articulating layout to support natural movement.
The Body Protector 6.5 is made to layer in a practical way: a zip-up compression suit handles the shoulders and elbows, while a separate hard-shell chest, back, and side protector is worn over it. This split design makes it easier to secure the fit on the body while keeping key coverage areas positioned correctly during movement.
A combination of hard-shell protection and 3DF AirFit soft impact foam is used throughout the system. The design is multi-plate and articulating to help the protector move naturally with the rider. Hard flank panels are added for rib and side coverage, supporting a more complete upper-body coverage package.
This protector is CE-tested and certified as impact protection for multiple zones: Chest EN1621-3 Level 2, Back EN1621-2 Level 2, and Elbow and Shoulder EN1621-1 Level 1. It is also listed as FFM - French Motorcycle Federation Certified and ISR rated, with a Total Leatt protection score of 25 points.
Fitment
Fit tuning is handled by a separate compression suit with BraceOn compatibility, intended to keep the system secure and comfortable while riding. A kidney belt with height adjustability helps refine how the protector sits around the midsection. The front and rear plates are removable, and the design includes a slimmer BraceOn neck brace system interface for riders setting up compatible equipment (sold separately).
