The Garmin Descent™ Mk3 – 43 mm in Stainless Steel with Fog Gray Silicone Band is an advanced dive computer and GPS smartwatch sized for smaller wrists. It’s built for divers who want capable in-water tools plus everyday training, navigation and smart features for life on the surface.
A bright 1.2” AMOLED display sits behind a sapphire crystal lens in a 200-meter dive-rated case with leakproof metal inductive buttons. On a single charge, it delivers up to 30 hours in dive mode and up to 10 days in smartwatch mode (4 days always-on). With multisport activity profiles, mapping, and automatic dive-log syncing to the Garmin Dive™ smartphone app on a compatible phone, it’s designed to support both adventure planning and post-dive review.
Durability
Descent™ Mk3 – 43 mm supports a wide range of dive modes, including single and multiple gas dives (including nitrox and trimix), gauge, apnea, apnea hunt and closed-circuit rebreather. Dive screens can be tailored by adding additional pages and selecting the fields that matter most for each mode.
Navigation
Diveview™ color maps bring bathymetric depth contours and more than 4,000 dive sites to the wrist, helping with orientation and trip planning. For surface navigation, it can track entry and exit points using advanced satellite connectivity and can be used to navigate to a site with the reference point feature.
Connectivity
After the dive, the watch syncs with the Garmin Dive™ app on a compatible smartphone to automatically upload dive logs. From the app, divers can review and share dive data, track gear, post photos, and add notes for a more complete record of every session.
Durability
This configuration pairs a stainless steel bezel with a Fog Gray silicone band and a sapphire crystal lens. The 1.2” AMOLED color display (390 x 390 pixels) is designed to be easy to read, and Lume Mode uses an ambient light sensor to provide green luminescence in low-light conditions to aid readability and help maintain night vision. A 200-meter dive rating, a depth sensor, and leakproof metal inductive buttons round out a dive-focused build intended for repeated underwater use.
Battery
Descent™ Mk3 – 43 mm is engineered to keep going across long dive days and multi-activity weeks. Battery life is rated up to 30 hours in dive mode and up to 10 days in smartwatch mode (4 days always-on). For GPS use, it offers up to 28 hours in GPS Only (22 hours always-on) and up to 17 hours in All Satellite Systems + Multi-band (14 hours always-on). Charging uses a Garmin proprietary clip charger.
Training
Out of the water, Descent™ Mk3 – 43 mm supports a wide set of activity profiles plus training tools such as improved training status, VO2 Max, recovery time, and daily suggested workouts that adapt after every run or ride. Wellness features include wrist-based heart rate, sleep monitoring with sleep score, Pulse Ox sensor, and jet lag adviser. When paired with an iPhone® or Android™ smartphone, it can deliver smart notifications, and it supports Garmin Pay™ contactless payments.
