The Garmin eTrex® Touch in the GPS Handheld Navigator with Touchscreen and Preloaded Maps configuration is built for outdoor navigation that stays straightforward in the field. A bright 3-inch high-resolution color touchscreen makes it easy to swipe, zoom, and follow a route on the move.
With preloaded TopoActive maps that include routable trails and roads, it’s a strong fit for hikers, explorers, and geocachers who want detailed mapping without extra setup. The rugged design is rated IP67 and built to MIL-STD 810, and battery life is rated up to 130 hours in GPS mode, helping it stay ready for longer trips between charges.
A slim, pocket-size design pairs with a 3-inch transflective Color TFT touchscreen, letting users swipe and zoom quickly when checking position or tracking a route. The 240 x 400 pixels display is designed to keep mapping details readable while navigating outdoors.
Preloaded TopoActive maps provide detailed coverage for roads and trails, including terrain contours, topographic elevations, summits, parks, rivers, lakes, geographical points, and thousands of points of interest. Automatic routing supports turn-by-turn routing on roads for outdoor activities.
Designed to handle rugged conditions, eTrex Touch is weather-resistant with an IP67 water rating and an impact-resistant MIL-STD-810 build. Its rechargeable, internal lithium-ion battery is rated up to 130 hours in All Satellite Systems + Multi band mode, assuming typical use with SatIQ technology.
Navigation
eTrex Touch supports multi-band GPS and multi-GNSS, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, and IRNSS, using multiple frequencies from navigation satellites for superior position accuracy. On-device sensors include a barometric altimeter and compass, plus a digital compass that provides an accurate heading even when stationary. It also supports TracBack® and point-to-point navigation for confident route guidance.
Connectivity
Trips can be planned and reviewed with the Garmin Explore™ smartphone app, including managing waypoints, courses, and activities on a smartphone or tablet. Garmin Share makes it simple to share saved locations and courses with friends’ compatible Garmin devices. With wireless connectivity listed as Wi-Fi®, BLE, and ANT®, the device is set up for connected features and updates where supported.
Durability
For changing conditions, eTrex Touch can display real-time forecast information when an active internet or Wi-Fi connection is available, or when using the Garmin Explore app on a paired smartphone. For expanded mapping, there is an option to purchase an Outdoor Maps+ subscription for access to premium mapping content such as satellite imagery, with downloads and automatic updates delivered via Wi-Fi® technology.
