The Garmin GPSMAP® 65 Multi-Band GPS Handheld is built for outdoor navigation where reliable positioning and clear mapping matter. It combines multi-band frequency support with expanded GNSS satellite support to help track more confidently in challenging environments.
A 2.6” sunlight-readable color display makes key details easy to see, while preloaded routable TopoActive maps for the U.S. and Canada support trip planning and on-the-go navigation. With IPX7 water rating, 16 GB of memory, and up to 16 hours of battery life in GPS mode using 2 AA batteries (not included), it suits hikers, hunters, explorers, and geocachers who want a rugged, capable handheld.
GPSMAP® 65 supports multiple global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and QZSS, helping maintain tracking in more challenging environments. Multi-band frequency support is designed to improve position accuracy in areas where GNSS signals can be reflected, weak, or typically do not penetrate.
Preloaded routable TopoActive maps for the U.S. and Canada provide detailed terrain and navigation support. TopoActive mapping includes contour detail and geographic features such as coastlines, rivers, lakes, and more, helping users interpret the landscape and plan routes with confidence.
With Garmin Explore™ website and app compatibility, waypoints, routes, and tracks can be planned, reviewed, and synced. When paired with a compatible device, smart notifications can display emails, texts, and alerts right on the handheld for connected convenience outdoors.
Durability
Designed as a rugged handheld, GPSMAP® 65 is ready for demanding use with chemically strengthened glass and an IPX7 water rating. The transflective, 65K color TFT display is made to be sunlight-readable, with a 2.6" diagonal size and 160 x 240 pixels resolution for clear mapping and data views. Its size is 2.4" x 6.3" x 1.4" (6.1 x 16.0 x 3.6 cm), and it weighs 7.7 oz (217 g) with batteries, making it a practical carry for extended days outdoors.
Navigation
With 16 GB of memory (user space varies based on included mapping), GPSMAP® 65 supports extensive map and navigation data management. It can store up to 5000 waypoints, 200 tracks, and a navigation track log of 10000 points with 200 saved tracks, along with 200 routes. For additional mapping, it supports adding maps and includes a microSD™ card slot with support for up to a 32 GB max microSD™ card.
