The HJC C91 Karan is a modular motorcycle helmet built for riders who want the everyday convenience of a flip-up design with practical comfort features. It uses an Advanced polycarbonate composite shell developed with advanced CAD technology to help deliver a lightweight feel and a more precise fit.
For changing light and weather, it combines a Pinlock®-ready HJ-17 visor with an integrated internal sun shield operated by a manual mechanism. Cooling is supported by HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System and a large top vent that feeds airflow through deep EPS channels. Inside, the SuperCool® liner and cheek pads use moisture-wicking, antibacterial fabric, with removable and washable crown and cheek pads for easier upkeep.
Construction
The C91 Karan is built on an Advanced polycarbonate composite shell, designed using advanced CAD technology for a lightweight feel with improved fit and comfort. Its modular chin bar is operated by a single lever designed to be glove-friendly, making it easy to switch between open and closed configurations during stops and transitions.
Shield
A Pinlock®-ready HJ-17 visor is paired with an integrated internal sun shield for adaptable vision across different conditions. The sun shield uses a manual mechanism for straightforward forward and back movement. For convenience during cleaning or swaps, the RapidFire™ shield replacement system is designed for quick changes.
Ventilation
HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) is designed to move cool air in through front intakes and send warm air out through rear exhaust vents to help manage heat buildup. The helmet is also Ready for Smart HJC Bluetooth, compatible with the 10B or 20B communication systems (sold separately).

The top liner and cheek pads use moisture-wicking, antibacterial fabric intended to feel cooler against the skin during warm rides. For routine maintenance, the crown and cheek pads are removable and washable, making it easier to keep the helmet fresh over time without complicated disassembly.
