The HJC F100 Astra is a fiberglass modular motorcycle helmet built around a rotational chin bar for riders who want the convenience of a flip-up design for daily use. With an integrated HJ-V12 dark smoke sun visor and HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS), it’s designed to keep airflow moving while keeping the riding experience straightforward for commutes and longer miles.
The F100 Astra uses the Pinlock®-ready HJ-45 shield system (HJ-45a for XS, S, M and HJ-45b for L, XL, XXL) and is Bluetooth compatible with Smart HJC (sold separately). It meets DOT FMVSS No.218, and listed weight is 3.58 lbs./1628 grams (approx, based on size medium).
Designed for riders who prefer the flexibility of a modular helmet, the F100 uses HJC’s advanced rotation system to support smooth chin bar operation. The flip-up configuration is intended to make transitions between closed and open positions feel straightforward for everyday riding, whether that means stop-and-go commuting or settling in for longer miles.
HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) is built into the F100 to manage airflow through the helmet. The system is presented as part of HJC’s approach to aerodynamics and ventilation, with the goal of helping the helmet stay comfortable and consistent to wear over the course of the day.
The F100 is equipped with the Pinlock®-ready HJ-45 shield, treated with an anti-scratch coating and designed to provide 99% UV protection. Shield swaps are supported by a ratchet system intended to be secure and user-friendly. For changing light, the internal HJ-V12 dark smoke sun visor offers 8mm of vertical adjustment for a personalized viewing position.
The F100 Astra uses two versions of the HJ-45 shield depending on helmet size. Sizes XS, S, and M use the Pinlock®-ready HJ-45a shield, while sizes L, XL, and XXL use the Pinlock®-ready HJ-45b shield. The helmet includes a Pinlock® lens, and compatible Pinlock® lens inserts are listed as Pinlock® HJ-45a Lens Insert (DKS586) and Pinlock® HJ-45b Lens Insert (DKS587).
For riders who want quick light management without swapping shields, the F100 incorporates an internal HJ-V12 dark smoke sun visor. It’s designed with 8mm of vertical adjustment, allowing the sun visor height to be fine-tuned to match preference and riding position. This built-in sun visor works alongside the main HJ-45 face shield system for day-to-day versatility.
