The HJC F100 Carbon Askan is a carbon modular motorcycle helmet built around a rotating chin bar and an integrated sun shield for everyday versatility. In the Carbon Askan graphic, it’s designed for riders who want the convenience of a modular setup without adding complexity to the ride.
With touring-focused comfort for longer miles and a balanced feel for commuting, the F100 brings together ACS ventilation for airflow management, a Pinlock®-ready HJ-45 shield setup, and an HJ-V12 dark smoke sun visor with 8mm of vertical adjustment. It also meets DOT FMVSS No. 218 and includes a Pinlock® lens, chin curtain, and breath deflector.
Construction
The F100 uses a carbon fiber shell and a modular design with HJC’s advanced rotation system. The rotating chin bar is designed for smooth, secure movement, making it easy to transition between closed and open configurations for commuting or touring. Shield
A Pinlock®-ready HJ-45 shield system is used for the main view, with 99% UV protection and an anti-scratch coating. The ratchet system is designed to keep shield changes straightforward. For changing light, the built-in HJ-V12 dark smoke sun visor offers 8mm of vertical adjustment to fine-tune the drop for a customized sightline.
Ventilation
HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) is built in to manage airflow through the helmet. The design draws on HJC’s experience from MotoGP helmet development, with a focus on aerodynamics and ventilation. The goal is consistent airflow feel during daily use as well as longer rides where comfort can change over time.
The F100 is built as a modular helmet with a rotating chin bar, designed to deliver flexible use for riders splitting time between commuting and longer-distance riding. This model uses a Pinlock®-ready HJ-45 shield arrangement, with HJ-45a (fits XS, S, M) and HJ-45b (fits L, XL, XXL). The shield is described with 99% UV protection and an anti-scratch coating to help maintain clear vision over time. Pinlock® HJ-45a Lens Insert (DKS586) and Pinlock® HJ-45b Lens Insert (DKS587) are listed as compatible options, and a Pinlock® lens is included.
