The HJC i11 Rust is a sport-focused full-face motorcycle helmet built around an Advanced Polycarbonate Compound (APC) shell and shaped for aerodynamic performance at speed. For added comfort in heat or traffic, the visor includes an initial “cracked-open” position that can introduce a quick burst of airflow.
Ventilation
HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) routes air from front to back to help move heat and humidity out of the helmet. The i11 uses three intake vents and five exhaust ports to promote continuous circulation, and an improved mouth vent is designed to support defogging and breathability. The goal is a more consistent interior temperature during changing speeds and conditions.
Construction
Built for sport riding, the i11 is Snell M2025D & DOT FMVSS 218 Approved. Its safety-focused design includes the APC shell construction described by HJC as combining high-grade polycarbonate, high-impact ABS, and optimized reinforcement. For convenience after an incident, it also features emergency quick-release cheek pads, allowing the cheek pads to be removed more easily when needed.
Comfort
Inside, the i11 uses a moisture wicking liner designed to dry quickly and resist odor, supporting comfort through longer rides and warmer days. For riders who want to add communication, the helmet is SMART HJC Bluetooth ready; a compatible Bluetooth unit is optional and sold separately. The visor system is also listed as Photochromic ShadeX visor compatible (sold separately) for riders who prefer a photochromic-ready setup.
