HJC · i71 · Full Face
The HJC i71 is a full-face motorcycle helmet built with sport-touring in mind, focusing on aerodynamic performance, steady airflow, and day-long comfort. Its shell shape is designed to feel sleek and refined on the road, while ventilation details like a top scoop, mouth vent, and a front edge spoiler help manage wind and noise during longer rides.
For changing light, the i71 uses an integrated HJ-V12 sunshield with a 3-step adjustment to fine-tune positioning. Up front, the Pinlock-ready HJ-38 visor adds an anti-scratch coating and 99% UV protection, with a push-release lock and quick ratchet adjustments to keep operation straightforward in gloves.
Ventilation
The i71 uses HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) to move air from front to back through the helmet. With a maximum top scoop and mouth vent, the system is intended to flush heat and humidity for a cooler feel in warm conditions and during longer sport-touring miles.
Shield
A Pinlock-ready HJ-38 visor combines 99% UV protection with an anti-scratch coating for everyday durability. The quick ratchet mechanism allows simple visor positioning, and a push-release lock adds a secure close. Inside, the integrated HJ-V12 sunshield offers a 3-step adjustable range for optimized placement.
Comfort
The interior uses removable, washable, antibacterial fabric, and the cheek pads include grooves designed to accommodate eyeglasses. For riders who want integrated comms, the i71 is Smart HJC ready for 11B, 21B, and 50B Bluetooth communication systems (sold separately).
Construction
The i71 is built around an Advanced Polycarbonate Compound (APC) shell that combines high-grade polycarbonate and ABS in an optimal ratio. HJC’s goal with this construction is to balance strength and impact resistance with a lightweight feel, supporting comfort for extended sport-touring use. Certification information is listed as DOT Approved in the specifications shown on the page.
Shield
Small design elements are aimed at making highway and backroad time more comfortable and easier to manage. The front edge spoiler is designed to block incoming wind and help reduce noise, while the sun protection system is adjustable for varied conditions. For convenience, included items listed for the i71 are Pinlock, a chin curtain, and a breath deflector.
