HJC · RPHA 12 · Full Face
The HJC RPHA 12 is a full-face motorcycle helmet built for performance riding, with design and features aimed at everyday street use and track time. Its aerodynamic shell structure is shaped for stability at speed, while the ventilation layout is designed to move air efficiently through the helmet to help manage heat and fogging.
This helmet is equipped with the HJ-42 visor system and includes both a clear and dark smoke 2D visor, plus a Pinlock® HJ-42 Lens Insert (DKS495). Comfort-focused details include a fully removable interior and interchangeable cheek pads across sizes, along with a chin curtain and breath deflector to help tune the ride experience.
Construction
RPHA 12 uses an aerodynamic shell structure intended for high-speed stability and performance riding. Its construction is described as high-performance materials infused with epoxy resin and fiber tissue, drawing on aircraft and racing-inspired design principles aimed at durability and reduced drag.
Ventilation
Ventilation is managed through an advanced system with 4 air intakes and 3 exhaust vents, designed to maintain consistent airflow even at higher speeds. An enlarged front intake is specified to support maximum defogging, helping keep airflow moving where it’s needed during demanding rides.
Shield
The helmet features the Pinlock-ready HJ-42 visor with 99% UV protection and an anti-scratch coating. A two-way pivot ratchet system is used for smooth operation and improved sealing. Included with the helmet are clear and dark smoke 2D visors and a Pinlock® HJ-42 Lens Insert (DKS495).
Construction
RPHA 12 is built around HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) structure, described as a design that enhances impact protection while keeping the shell lightweight, durable, and stable. The materials and structure are intended to balance resilience with comfort-focused riding characteristics, aligning with the helmet’s performance-oriented goal for both daily riding and track use.
Comfort
For fit and upkeep, the RPHA 12 uses a fully removable interior, making it easier to clean and refresh between rides. The helmet also uses all size interchangeable cheek pads, allowing fit adjustments or replacements while staying within the model’s sizing system. A chin curtain and breath deflector are included to help manage air movement around the chin and inside the helmet.
