The HJC RPHA 12N Dirano is a full-face motorcycle helmet built around an aerodynamic shell shape and a premium ventilation layout for riders who spend time at higher speeds on the street or track. Its design focus is reducing air drag and noise while maintaining a stable feel in the wind.
This helmet uses a PIM EVO shell and pairs it with the HJ-42 Curved Shield and ratchet system for smooth operation and a better seal. Inside, the fully removable liner and all size interchangeable cheek pads support a personalized fit, and an emergency pull tab is built in for quick cheek pad removal when needed.
Construction
RPHA 12N uses an aerodynamic shell structure intended for high-speed stability. HJC describes the construction as high-performance materials infused with epoxy resin and fiber tissue, influenced by aircraft and racing technology to help reduce drag while keeping the build lightweight and durable.
Ventilation
An advanced ventilation system manages heat and moisture with 4 air intakes and 3 exhaust vents. An enlarged front intake is designed for maximum defogging, helping keep air moving across the shield area while maintaining consistent ventilation at speed.
Comfort
A two-way pivot ratchet system is designed for smooth movement and improved sealing. For comfort and setup, the interior is fully removable, and cheek pads are interchangeable across all sizes; an emergency pull tab supports quick cheek pad removal.
Construction
The RPHA 12N is built around HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) shell, described as enhancing impact resistance while keeping the helmet lightweight and durable. The shell’s aerodynamic profile is shaped to support high-speed stability and reduce drag, aligning with the helmet’s street-and-track performance focus.
Shield
The helmet’s HJ-42 curved shield and ratchet system is designed to reduce air drag and noise while improving how the shield seals against the gasket. The visor is Pinlock-ready, features an anti-scratch coating, and provides 99% UV protection. A two-way pivot ratchet mechanism helps the shield move smoothly through its range and maintain a consistent closure.
Ventilation
Vent placement and channeling are central to the RPHA 12N design, using 4 intakes and 3 exhaust vents to maximize airflow through the helmet. The enlarged front intake targets maximum defogging, helping move fresh air into the helmet and out through the exhaust vents to support comfort during changing weather or higher-effort riding.
