Designed as a MotoGP spec helmet, the RPHA 1N combines a sleek, drag-reducing shell profile with a front-to-back ventilation layout to help manage heat and humidity at speed. It also pairs a quick-change visor system with a secure locking design for high-speed use, and it uses SilverCool enhanced moisture-wicking fabric for a comfort-focused interior feel.
Construction
The RPHA 1N uses HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction. Reinforcement materials listed for the helmet include carbon and carbon-glass hybrid fabric. For emergency situations, it also features an Emergency Kit with cheek pads designed for quick and safe rescue.
Ventilation
HJC equips the RPHA 1N with the ACS Advanced Channeling Ventilation System. With 5 intakes and 4 exhausts, airflow is channeled from front to back to help flush heat and humidity during the ride. This ventilation approach is also intended to help reduce visor fogging in changing conditions.
Shield
The RPHA 1N visor system is designed around easy attachment for fast, tool-less shield replacement. A 2 Pivot Ratchet system works with a double visor locking mechanism to help keep the visor secure and easy to operate. A Pinlock HJ-35 Lens Insert (DKS417) is listed as a compatible option.
Aerodynamics
The RPHA 1N is engineered with an emphasis on aerodynamic performance for racing conditions. HJC describes the shell as using high-performance materials infused with epoxy resin and fiber tissue, materials commonly used in aircraft industry and racing environments. The EPS design is shaped to accommodate both eyeglasses and sunglasses for added everyday practicality. Speaker pockets are built in for Bluetooth communication, with the communication unit sold separately. Included items for this helmet are a breath deflector, chin curtain, tear-offs, and a clear extended aero-spoiler.
