HJC · RPHA 71 · Full Face
The HJC RPHA 71 is a full-face motorcycle helmet built for sport-touring performance, whether the ride is daily commuting or long-distance travel. Its design focuses on a compact, lightweight feel paired with aerodynamic control to help keep the ride composed at speed.
For changing light, the helmet includes an internal HJ-V12 sun visor with a 3-step adjustment system to fine-tune the drop position. Up front, the HJ-40 faceshield is Pinlock-ready and uses a visor lock and ratchet system for secure, on-the-fly adjustments. The interior comfort package is designed for real-world use with removable, washable crown and cheek pads, and the helmet is set up to accept select Smart HJC Bluetooth systems (sold separately).
Construction
RPHA 71 uses Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction, described by HJC as a lightweight, durable shell structure. It also includes an emergency kit design with removable cheek pads intended to support quick removal in urgent situations. DOT Approved certification is listed in the specifications.
Shield
The HJ-40 visor is Pinlock-ready and is described with 99% UV protection and an anti-scratch coating. A push-release visor lock and a quick, secure ratchet system are designed to make shield changes and positioning straightforward. Behind it, a dark smoke sun shield comes pre-installed and uses a dynamic multi-step system for customized coverage.
Ventilation
Ventilation is handled through maximum performance top and low vents, supported by an adjustable ventilation system intended to help manage fogging, noise, and drag while riding. A front edge spoiler is designed to reduce noise and air turbulence. For day-to-day wear, the crown and cheek pads remove easily for washing.
Aerodynamics
RPHA 71 is engineered around aerodynamic performance, using high-performance materials described as epoxy resin and fiber tissue. The shell shape is designed to reduce air resistance to help promote stability at higher speeds, supporting a smoother, more controlled feel when the pace increases. A front edge spoiler is also called out for reducing noise and air turbulence as airflow moves over the helmet.
Communication
This helmet is designed to be Smart HJC ready for 11B, 21B, and 50B Bluetooth systems (sold separately). That compatibility is intended to make it easier to add communication and entertainment features without modifying the helmet, keeping the setup clean while supporting hands-free riding needs.
