The HJC RPHA 71 Frepe is a full-face motorcycle helmet built for everyday riding and touring, from city commutes to longer cross-country days. This graphic combines the RPHA 71’s compact, lightweight design with an aerodynamic shell shape intended to reduce air turbulence and help keep the ride feeling steady at speed.
It uses HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction and includes an emergency kit with removable cheek pads. For changing light conditions, the helmet pairs a Pinlock-ready HJ-40 face shield with an internal sun visor that can be set in three steps. A Pinlock, chin curtain, and breath deflector are included.
Construction
The RPHA 71 is built around HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction for a lightweight, durable shell structure. It also incorporates an emergency kit with removable cheek pads to support quicker, more controlled helmet removal when needed. Certification is listed as DOT Approved.
Shield
A Pinlock-ready HJ-40 visor is paired with an anti-scratch coating and 99% UV protection for clear vision over time. The visor uses a quick ratchet system designed for simple, secure adjustment, plus a push-release visor lock. Inside, a dark smoke sun shield comes pre-installed and offers a dynamic multi-step system.
Comfort
Ventilation is handled through maximum-performance top and low vents, with an adjustable ventilation system described as reducing fogging, noise, and drag while riding. A front edge spoiler is designed to help reduce noise and air turbulence. For fit and upkeep, the crown and cheek pads are removable and washable.
Aerodynamics
The RPHA 71’s shell is shaped with aerodynamics in mind, aiming to reduce air resistance for improved stability at higher speeds.
