The HJC RPHA 71 Mapos is a full face motorcycle helmet built for everyday riding and sport-touring use, from city commuting to long-distance cruising. It pairs a compact, lightweight feel with an aerodynamic shell shape intended to help reduce air resistance and improve stability at speed.
This Mapos graphic brings a distinctive look to the RPHA 71 platform while keeping the same core features across the line, including a Pinlock-ready HJ-40 visor system, an integrated sun visor with multiple position settings, and ventilation designed for high performance. Riders also get practical comfort features for regular use, such as removable and washable interior pads, plus included accessories like a Chin Curtain and Breath Deflector.
Construction
The RPHA 71 uses HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) construction. In addition, it includes an emergency kit with removable cheek pads, designed to support quick, controlled removal when needed. For standards, it is listed as DOT Approved (see specifications below for details).
Shield
A Pinlock-ready HJ-40 visor is paired with an anti-scratch coating and 99% UV protection. The visor ratchet system is designed for quick, simple, secure adjustments, and a push-release visor lock adds another layer of retention. A dark smoke sun shield comes pre-installed, with a dynamic multi-step design and an adjustable 3-step HJ-V12 sun visor system for positioning.
Ventilation
Ventilation includes maximum performance top and low vents, with an adjustable ventilation system designed to help reduce fogging, noise, and drag while riding. For airflow management around the shell, the front edge spoiler is shaped to help reduce noise and air turbulence, supporting the helmet’s aerodynamic intent for everyday and touring speeds.
Communication
Any Smart HJC unit is optional and sold separately.
Comfort
For riders putting in regular miles, the RPHA 71 focuses on day-to-day usability with a serviceable interior and practical add-ons. The crown and cheek pads are removable and washable to help keep the fit feeling fresh over time. It also includes a Chin Curtain and Breath Deflector, plus a Pinlock, to support a more comfortable ride experience across changing conditions.
