The HJC RPHA 91 Madal is a modular touring helmet built for riders who put in serious miles and want long-ride comfort with a refined, streamlined profile. It combines an aerodynamic shell shape with a 2-way pivot chin bar designed to help reduce wind noise and air drag, while keeping a compact profile when the chin bar is in the up position.
For all-conditions visibility, it uses an HJ-37 visor system designed for quick, secure shield operation and supports a Pinlock setup, with a dark smoke sun shield pre-installed for on-the-fly light management. Inside, the antibacterial liner uses removable, washable crown and cheek pads to help keep the fit feeling fresh from the first day of touring season to the last.
Construction
Built around HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (P.I.M.) structure, the RPHA 91 uses a blend of reinforcement materials intended to provide uniform stability while keeping weight and balance in mind for touring use. The shell is shaped for aerodynamic efficiency to support stability and a smoother feel on longer highway stretches.
Shield
The HJ-37 visor uses a visor ratchet system designed for quick and secure operation. It is Pinlock-ready and is described as offering 99% UV protection with an anti-scratch coating. A dynamic multi-step sun shield system allows adjustable positioning, and a dark smoke sun shield comes pre-installed.
Comfort
To support day-long comfort, the interior is antibacterial, with crown and cheek pads that can be removed and washed. Ventilation is handled by maximum performance top and low vents. A neckroll system is designed to help reduce wind noise, and the included chin curtain and breath deflector help manage airflow around the face area.
Aerodynamics
The RPHA 91 is shaped around an aerodynamic shell concept, using high-performance materials infused with epoxy resin and fiber tissue. Its streamlined modular form is intended to reduce air resistance for a more stable feel at speed. The 2-way pivot chin bar is designed to reduce wind noise and air drag, while also maintaining a more compact profile when the chin bar is in the up position.
Communication
This helmet is Smart HJC ready, designed to integrate with SMART HJC 11B, 21B, and 50B Bluetooth systems (sold separately). That built-in readiness supports a cleaner installation for riders who want to add communication, navigation prompts, or audio while keeping the helmet’s touring-focused fit and features intact.
