The HJC C91 Kaon is a modular motorcycle helmet built for riders who want the convenience of a flip-up design with everyday comfort features. Its Advanced polycarbonate composite shell is designed using advanced CAD technology to help deliver a lightweight feel along with fit-focused shaping.
For changing light conditions, the C91 Kaon adds an integrated internal sun shield with a manual control for moving it forward and back. Ventilation is handled by HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System to route air through the helmet, while the SuperCool interior uses moisture-wicking, antibacterial fabric. The helmet is also Ready for Smart HJC Bluetooth (sold separately) for adding communication on the road.
Designed around a modular flip-up format, the C91 uses a single-lever chin bar mechanism that’s intended to be easy to operate, including with gloves on. That convenience helps riders adapt quickly to stops, fuel-ups, and conversations without removing the helmet.
The helmet uses a Pinlock®-ready HJ-17 visor along with an integrated internal sun shield. For quick servicing, HJC’s RapidFire™ shield replacement system is built in to simplify swaps and cleaning. A Pinlock® HJ-05/HJ-07/HJ-09/HJ-17 Lens Insert (DKS088) is listed as a compatible option.
A large top vent feeds airflow through deep EPS channels to help manage heat on longer rides. Inside, the SuperCool® liner and cheek pads use moisture-wicking, antibacterial fabric, and the crown and cheek pads are removable and washable to help keep the fit feeling fresh over time.
HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) is designed to move air through the helmet by pulling cooler air in through front intakes and pushing warm air out through rear exhaust vents. This airflow path works with the helmet’s internal channeling to help reduce heat buildup and maintain comfort while riding. ACS is also intended to help manage humid conditions that can contribute to fogging during changes in speed or temperature.
The C91 is Smart HJC ready for communication integration with the 10B or 20B Bluetooth systems (sold separately). It’s a practical option for riders who want to keep the helmet streamlined while leaving the choice of electronics up to the rider.
