The Leatt Body Protector 2.5 is a hard-shell body protection setup designed to cover the chest, back, shoulders, and elbows for Moto, ADV, and MTB use. It combines a lightweight hard-shell construction with FlexMesh to balance structure with flexibility, while a perforated, mesh-style plate design is used to promote airflow.
For riders who use a neck brace, the BraceOn™ system and a removable rear plate are designed to make brace integration and over- or under-jersey setup more straightforward.
The Body Protector 2.5 is CE-certified protection for the chest, back, shoulders, and elbows. Certification is listed as: Chest EN1621-3 Level 1; Back EN1621-2 Level 1; Elbow and Shoulder EN1621-1 Level 1. It is also FFM - French Motorcycle Federation Certified, and carries a Total Leatt® protection score of 17 points.
A hard-shell and FlexMesh combination is paired with a perforated, mesh-type plate construction to support airflow. Under the plates, the base fabric uses MoistureCool and AirMesh wicking materials with an anti-odour treatment, aimed at keeping the fit comfortable during longer rides and varied conditions.
A flexible 3D design helps keep the profile close to the body, while the kidney belt offers height adjustability for dialing in the fit. For additional setup options, the rear plate is removable, and the BraceOn™ system is designed for seamless neck brace fitting with over- or under-jersey use.
Construction
The Body Protector 2.5 is built with BraceOn™ compatibility for riders who choose to pair it with a neck brace (sold separately). A key part of that versatility is the removable rear plate, which helps accommodate different ways of wearing the protector, including over- or under-jersey configurations. This approach is intended to make it easier to set up the protector around a rider’s preferred kit without changing the core coverage areas.
