RPHA 91 Carbon Modular Touring Comfort

The HJC RPHA 91 Carbon is a modular motorcycle helmet built for riders who spend long days in the saddle and want touring comfort that stays consistent mile after mile. In the Carbon graphic, it pairs a carbon fiber shell with HJC’s P.I.M. EVO construction to keep the feel balanced and comfortable for extended time on the road.

A streamlined modular profile, refined aerodynamics, and a 2-way pivot chin bar help manage wind noise and air drag, while the ventilation layout is designed for steady front-to-back airflow. For changing conditions, the Pinlock-ready HJ-37 visor and a multi-step sun shield (dark smoke, pre-installed) add everyday practicality for highway stretches and weekend escapes.

Construction

Carbon shell construction

RPHA 91 Carbon uses a carbon fiber shell built with HJC’s P.I.M. EVO construction, blending carbon fiber with high-performance reinforcement materials. The result is a lightweight, balanced design intended to stay comfortable on long rides and help reduce fatigue. Premium finishing details, including a gunmetal-colored vent frame and carbon-specific trim, complete the Carbon look.

Shield

Shield and sun shield setup

The helmet’s visor system is designed for quick, secure changes with a simple ratchet mechanism. Up front is a Pinlock-ready HJ-37 visor with an anti-scratch coating and 99% UV protection for clear, durable optics. For glare management, a dynamic multi-step sun shield lets the rider fine-tune positioning, with a dark smoke sun shield pre-installed.

Ventilation

Ventilation and modular aerodynamics

For touring comfort, the shell shape focuses on minimizing air resistance and maintaining stability at speed. Venting is laid out with five intake vents and seven exhausts to move air from front to back. The 2-way pivot chin bar is designed to reduce wind noise and air drag and to keep a more compact profile when it’s in the up position.

Communication

Smart HJC ready design

The RPHA 91 is Smart HJC ready and designed to integrate with HJC 11B, 21B, and 50B Bluetooth systems (sold separately). This built-in readiness supports a clean installation approach for riders who want to add communication, navigation prompts, or entertainment while touring, without changing the helmet’s core fit and modular functionality.

Comfort

Interior comfort and upkeep

Inside, the RPHA 91 Carbon features an antibacterial interior aimed at staying fresher over repeated use. For easy maintenance on long trips and daily commuting alike, the crown and cheek pads are removable and washable. The neckroll system is designed to help reduce wind noise, supporting a more comfortable ride over extended highway miles.
