The SHOEI GT-Air 3 MM93 Grip is a full-face motorcycle helmet that pairs GT-Air 3 sport-touring technology with Marc Márquez tribute styling in MM93 Grip TC-1. Built for riders who prioritize Street and Touring use, it brings together an aerodynamic AIM shell, a CNS-1C Shield paired with a QSV-2 Sun Shield, and a Defogger Ventilation System for changing conditions.
Designed around quiet ride engineering, efficient airflow management, and integrated tech readiness, the GT-Air 3 platform also supports the SHOEI Comlink system for a clean in-helmet setup with the optional SENA SRL 3 communication unit (sold separately). Included items add everyday practicality, including a Pinlock EVO Lens, Breath Guard, and Chin Curtain.
Construction
The GT-Air 3 MM93 Grip uses an AIM shell and an EPS Liner as part of its core construction. For secure fastening, the model features a redesigned stainless steel micro ratchet system and a new strap built from high-strength, high-elasticity, high-performance fibers, with a lever designed to help prevent unintentional opening.
Shield
For vision and weather management, the helmet pairs a CNS-1C Shield with a QSV-2 Sun Shield. The CNS-1C design is described as offering high optical quality and a large usable field of vision, with a central locking mechanism designed to be easy to operate with thick gloves, plus an improved slightly open position to increase airflow and help reduce fogging.
Communication
The GT-Air 3 is built around the SHOEI Comlink system, designed to integrate with the optional SENA SRL 3 communication unit (sold separately) for an “invisible” installation. The layout uses flush controls, an internal battery, and no externally mounted components, with a rear charging port intended to make charging simpler on a flat surface.
Ventilation
Ventilation is organized around inlets positioned in the airstream and exhaust outlets placed at an optimized height to help reduce temperature and humidity inside the helmet. The upper air intake shaping is described as wind tunnel tested to improve inflow, while the top air outlets are redesigned and positioned higher for increased efficiency. Vent sliders and controls are designed to be usable even with thick gloves, and ventilation channels are integrated into the EPS liner and tied into four upper head outlet openings.
Aerodynamics
The GT-Air 3 shell is shaped with integrated spoiler edges, smooth visor-to-shell transitions, and a slimmed-down frontal chin area. These elements are described as enhancing aerodynamic performance and reducing fatigue and noise level impact on the wearer. SHOEI notes development and testing in its large in-house wind tunnel, along with a “fluid” shell shape and a distinct integrated spoiler as part of the overall aerodynamic approach.
Safety Design
The model uses a redesigned micro ratchet made of stainless steel along with a new strap constructed from high-strength, high-elasticity, high-performance fibers. SHOEI describes the system as easy to handle and consistently adjusted, and the lever is designed with a large release angle to help prevent unintentional opening. This closure approach is part of the GT-Air 3’s day-to-day convenience focus for Street and Touring riding.
