The SHOEI X-Fourteen Air Mask 5 is a helmet accessory made to help keep the shield clearer by managing exhaled breath inside the helmet. It’s designed to create a seal against the rider’s nose and redirect breath downward, reducing the chance of fogging that can build up on the shield during changing weather or stop-and-go conditions.
Installation is straightforward: a Velcro piece attaches to the inside of the chin bar, and the air mask mounts to that Velcro for secure placement. Once fitted, it helps guide airflow to support a more consistent, fog-free visor view when riding.
The X-Fourteen Air Mask 5 is built to route exhaled breath downward rather than allowing it to rise toward the shield. By creating a seal against the nose, it helps limit warm, moist breath from reaching the inside of the visor, supporting clearer vision when fogging is a concern.

The X-Fourteen Air Mask 5 is designed to interrupt that path by sealing against the nose and pushing breath downward. By managing where that moisture goes, it supports a clearer shield view in conditions where fog can become distracting.
Comfort
For consistent performance, placement matters. The X-Fourteen Air Mask 5 attaches to the inside of the chin bar using Velcro, keeping it positioned where it can maintain contact at the nose area. After the Velcro is installed, the mask can be attached easily, helping it stay put and continue redirecting airflow as intended.
