The Garmin Tread® XL - Overland Edition in the 10” All-Terrain Navigator configuration is built for drivers who want a big-screen navigator that’s ready for dirt, dust and weather. With an ultrabright 10” glove-friendly touchscreen and dual-orientation mounting, it’s designed to stay readable and usable in demanding conditions.
This navigator supports turn-by-turn trail navigation using adventure roads and trails map content comprised of OSM and USFS Motor Vehicle Use Maps, plus detailed street maps of North America with custom routing for the size and weight of your rig. For overlanding, it also adds preloaded iOverlander™ points of interest and Ultimate Public Campgrounds to help locate established, wild and dispersed campsites even when cell service isn’t available.
Durability
Designed for all-terrain travel, Tread® XL - Overland Edition is built to handle harsh conditions with MIL-STD-810 drop rating, IPX7 water rating and IP6X dust rating. It’s ready for real-world off-road use where vibration, weather and messy trail environments are part of the route.
Display
The 10” ultrabright, high brightness HD color TFT display is glove-friendly and built for high visibility. A dual-orientation display supports portrait or landscape mounting, making it easier to fit a variety of vehicle layouts while keeping mapping and guidance front and center.
Connectivity
Built-in inReach® technology adds global satellite communication features including two-way text messaging, location sharing and interactive SOS. An active satellite subscription is required, and use may be subject to regulations or prohibitions in some jurisdictions.
Tread® XL - Overland Edition comes with preloaded topographic maps with 3D terrain for North and South America and includes detailed street maps of North America. For highway and backroad travel, it supports specialized routing for the size and weight of your vehicle, plus features such as lane assist with junction view, route shaping through preferred cities/streets, and Garmin Real Directions™ landmark guidance. For the dirt, it adds turn-by-turn trail navigation using OSM and USFS Motor Vehicle Use Maps.
Planning routes and camps is easier with boundary information shown right on the navigator. Tread provides access to U.S. public land boundaries for national forests, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), wilderness areas and more, plus preloaded private land parcel maps and landowner information for parcels greater than 4 acres. This helps add context when scouting routes, choosing where to stop, and understanding what surrounds the trail ahead.
For a clearer view of terrain, the device supports downloadable, high-resolution satellite imagery (BirdsEye) directly to the navigator via Wi-Fi® connectivity, with no annual subscription required. Satellite imagery can add visual detail beyond standard maps, which is especially useful when exploring unfamiliar areas, comparing terrain features, and confirming landmarks before committing to the next track or trail.
